PSE Flex empowers customers to work together to smooth out energy demand through smart technology and simple actions. It’s a way to help meet our region’s growing energy needs and prevent undue stress on our electrical system.

Participants in PSE Flex are encouraged to reduce their energy consumption for a few hours during periodic Flex事件 – such as days with extreme temperatures – through simple actions like curbing their electric vehicle charging, 调整恒温器等等. Whether or not you’re participating in PSE Flex, when you charge your electric vehicle matters. Charging at certain times of day – overnight or in the middle of the afternoon – is better for both the electrical grid and environment. It’s at those times when electricity consumption is at its lowest and energy from renewable sources like solar and wind is most available.
